Parsons transfers to 21Net the operation of the Internet services on board VIA Rail Canada’s Windsor-Quebec City trains
As of November 1st 2008, the Internet Wi-Fi services on VIA Rail Canada trains running between Windsor, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City are operated by 21Net, a European Internet operator specializing in broadband Internet access to trains via satellite communications. This follows an agreement between Parsons and 21Net, and validated by VIA Rail Canada, whereby the services operated by Parsons since November 2006 will be transferred to 21Net.

Commercial Launch of mooviTER, the innovative and communicating train of SNCF equipped by 21Net
Mooviter, the Intercity Express Train of the future, was commercially launched today in Rennes (France).
Among the innovative services provided onboard, 21Net was selected by SNCF to offer free Wi-Fi Internet access. MooviTER passengers travelling with their Wi-Fi enabled laptop or PDA can benefit from Broadband Internet access provided by the 21Net bi-directional Satellite connectivity.
Starting in December 2008, mooviTER is running on the Rennes-Brest, Rennes-Quimper, Rennes-Saint Malo and Rennes-Nantes lines of the Bretagne TER network.
